Tournament Weekend: Results

The Newshounds ended a stellar season of Media League Softball Saturday night at about 9:30. It was a long, hot, fun-filled day of softball that saw the Newshounds play four games, not counting the previous night's win over Clear Channel.

Things are still a little hazy (nine hours of softball will do that you), but it appears the Newshounds came in third place during the tournament. Of the four games played Saturday, the Newhounds went 2-2. A lost to the almighty Got Paper? powerhouse during the first game on Saturday put the Newshounds in the losers bracket, but the team fought back, but ultimately lost to KTHV-TV, Channel 11, who were fueled by some big sticks and scored about 10 runs in the first inning. The Newshounds mounted a small rally, but it wasn't enough to overcome Today's THV.

Meanwhile, thanks to all the fan support during the tournament on Friday and Saturday, including Audra, Alissa, George, Johnny, Melissa, Nate's family, Stacy's pals, DWB, Freeling, Bagwell, Elana's mom and, of course, Mikey the Newshounds mascot! It was a great capper to a great Newshounds season!
