Newshounds fans can breath a sigh of relief and rest soundly with the knowledge that Chip Taulbee, unmercifully beaten down Saturday by a Softball With a Grudge, is up and running again, feeling like his footloose, fancy-free self and crackin' wise with the endless parade of folks who constantly approach, mouths agape, exclaiming, "Dude, what happened to your face?"

Getting that question put to him this week even more so than usual, Chip finally has an answer: "I fought the ball, and the ball won." But we all know he at least scored a moral victory.
