First Practice in the Books

Thanks to all the Newshounders who came out amid grey skies and windy conditions for practice last Saturday. Susan, Seth, Kat, Mike and Melissa Ortega, Elana and J.J. all showed up in top form, already looking like a well-oiled machine. This is team destined for greatness ...

Anyone looking to pitch this year will have to line up against Kat, who put 'em across the plate like a pro. She's our secret weapon. Seth is likely to keep lazy left-fielders on their toes with some well-placed outfield bombs. Mike's a top fielder, leads a mean infield drill and has some hidden long-bomb power of his own. And Elana, Susan and J.J. can stop a ball at any cost. All in all, a great practice showing there's great things to come.
