Newshounds Drop One

The streak has ended.

The Newshounds lost today's game versus the Democrat-Gazette's Dem Bums team, their record falling to 4-1. Umps were forced to call the game after the team fell too far behind.

Hamstrung by the absence of its starting pitcher and some defensive errors, the Newshounds were unable to make many offensive gains, scoring only three runs during the game.

Thanks to great efforts by the team, including stand-in pitchers Anne Hickey and Mike Pirnique. The Newshounds seek to bounce back next week as their pitcher returns and the team faces KTHV at 10 a.m. Fan support will be necessary to spur a Newshound comeback!
